 +Task is "how to send aprs beacons with coordinates to French repeater from mountains with dualbander handheld transciever long-time battery operated, under light weight to carry during mountain hiking, less cables, better callsign / settings better be field upgradable",​ there is no need to read/write messages, but it is nice feature, as well as some of below-listed versions has aprs data process units, others'​ stations coordinates may be displayed, distance and azimuth calculated. Common procedure is during hiking keep rig sending or with longer mountain hiking, stop and transmit coordinates. I just realized that in future it is necessary to build one digital APRS repeater which is camp based with laptop attached to.

 +DIY (do it yourself) projects takes time to made, test and possibly debug system before it ready to use, in comparison with ready done and tested products, on another hand is a price and guarantee.

 +Solution #5 is economical and solve a task. I remember is the main aim is to send coordinates:​ to show tourist team is alive and moving ahead, so the support team may follow on the map on a base aprs station. Secondly to analyze afterwards path and trails. To expand a lit of bit coverage I should buy bigger antenna for a rig and decide what to do with batteries. I decided to experiment and to order PCB from DF6EF, I like good price for self-made project and idea of open code.
